There are plenty of attractions to see within the state of Rio de Janeiro. The former capital of the state, the city of Niteroi is located on the other side of the bay from the city of Rio de Janeiro. White sandy beaches of Cabo Frio and the paradise of Buzios with its turquoise blue waters and the refreshing mountain climate of the Nova Friburgo region and its excellent gastronomia and clothing outlets.
1st day in Niterói where you see the Museum of Contempory Arts, the Santa Cruz Fort and the City Park (optional hang gliding). Atlantic Ocean beaches of Niteroi. Arrive in Cabo Frio in the evening where we stay for 2 nights ·
2nd and 3rd days Costa do Sol
2nd day: Head to nearby Buzios where you can relax on Praia Geribá the most famous beach of the internationally famous Buzios and take a leisurely boat trip of this tropical paradise if you wish. Visit Rua das Pedras for some shopping and souvenir purchases.
3rd day: Tour of the beaches of Cabo Frio and nearby Arraial do Cabo where we stop for lunch and visit the Oceanographic Museum. After lunch we start our journey to Nova Friburgo, in the mountainous region of Rio State. Nova Friburgo is considered the lingerie capital of the region and you will have the opportunity to make some purchases and add to your wardrobe if you wish.
4th day: Nova Friburgo See the Cão Sentado (Sitting dog mountain) and Parque de Furnas do Catete. Also visit Jardim do Nêgo (Nêgo’s garden) that is dedicated to the plastic arts with sculptures made of natural rock and clay. Return to Rio in the afternoon.
