Lençois Maranheses
The National Park in Lençois Maranheses has a perfect paradise view. Made up of innumerous white sand dunes, separated by several crystal clear freshwater lagoons, the Lençóis Maranhenses covers more than 155 thousand hectares and extends to the coastline, forming the largest National Park in the Northeast of Brazil. The main access to Lençóis Maranhenses via the city of Barrerinha, 272 km from São Luis (capital of the state of Maranhão). Day 1- Depart the hotel in São Luis 7:00 am to Barrerinhas – the Main entrance to Lençois Maranheses National Park. Arrival in Barrerinhas and depart in the afternoon to do a 4WD tour in Lençois Maranheses, visiting the lagoons. Stay overnight in Barrerinhas in a small hotel with breakfast.
Day 2- Hovercraft tour of the Preguisa River with a stop to walk in Vassouras, Mandacaru and Caburé. Stay overnight in Barrerinhas in a small hotel with breakfast.
Day 3- Free day in Barrerinhas and return to São Luis.
